Comments: A rare document of a 1966 Who show...the sound is very good and the performance is charged with an incredible amount of energy and tightness and the band are really rocking throughout.... an essential document of the live development of the Who with some great playing and a neat selection of songs. Tapers talk sometimes near the mike but in all, really good sound. Amazing 3-part harmonies are displayed and they are really tight as they break into a wonderful version of Uptight in the middle of Daddy Rolling Stone. Incidentally, this was the first show Keith used the double bass drum kit. This was one of The Who's first big shows, playing to 11,000! Highly recommended.

Live at Club Nalen, Stockholm, Sweden, October 25, 1966

Sound: Very good audience

Time: Approx. 30 Minutes

Set List:

Heatwave, Dancing In the Streets, Barbara Ann, So Sad About Us, Substitute, The Kids Are Alright, I'm a Boy, My Generation

Comments: Another great 1966 Who show! The playing is exceptionally hard, loud, fast, wild...no wonder punk rock in the late seventies cited The Who as THE originators of the attitude and idea, albeit The Who played music too! This set is super charged and lots of fun to listen to, and a really great show from 1966. RECOMMENDED!
