Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love
Comments: Really great, crisp sound in this POWERFUL and excellent show. The opening salvo is awesome, and Jimmy plays one of the best solos in Stairway, and it's only '72! Dazed and Confused is truly awesome and a riotous medley closes the show. The crowd is going nuts throughout the show, with Robert telling them to shut up, and it's not hard to see why!
Live at Kooyong Tennis Courts, Melbourne, Australia, February 20, 1972
Sound: Excellent audience
Time: Approx. 100 Minutes
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, Rock and Roll, Whole Lotta Love
Comments: A great show! Robert's voice is unreal...the scream he lets loose in Since I've Been Loving You is blood curdling, and the band's jams on Dazed and Confused and Whole Lotta Love are unreal! The acoustic set is wonderful, and the show is cut short by a rainstorm that develops suddenly over this outdoor venue...still, the great recording makes this one excellent!
Live at Festival Hall, Brisbane, Australia, February 29, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Celebration Day, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love
Comments: The final show of the Australian tour and the only indoor show of the tour. An excellent, high-powered show in front of another rowdy Australian crowd! The opening numbers are excellent and Robert's singing on Since I've Been Loving You is pure emotion and one of the best versions I have ever heard. Dazed is great except Bonham's drumming is rather boring throughout. The medley is excellent and contains some really rare inclusions. A wild show!
Bombay Studios, Bombay, India, March 1972
Sound: Excellent soundboard
Time: Approx. 35 Minutes
Set List:
Fur Sticks, Friends
Comments: This is the famous Page/Plant session in India with an Indian orchestra. The songs sound quite exotic and different in this setting and work really well. The only drawback is that the multiple takes are long, but hearing the finished product at the end is well worth the listen!
Live at Oude Rai, Amsterdam, Holland, May 27, 1972
Sound: Excellent audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Celebration Day, Stairway to Heaven, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, Communication Breakdown
Comments: An extremely rare show, this was a warm-up for the US Tour, and a great show it is. Robert's voice is just amazing, and the playing and spontaneity of the improvisations are phenomenal. Celebration Day is wonderful and a really great, fast and furious Dazed and Confused is given to the restrained crowd. Even Moby Dick is short, tight and enjoyable. The blistering encores and the Whole Lotta Love (with some very unique and odd references) finally make the crowd hysterical. Recommended!
Live at Voorst National, Brussels, Belgium, May 28, 1972
Sound: Excellent audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Whole Lotta Love
Comments: A great show in front of an extremely rowdy crowd that Robert has to keep yelling at. The playing is great, and a really nice acoustic set is played. Dazed and Confused has some great improvisations towards the end and a killer Whole Lotta Love medley includes many rare and energetic covers. Moby Dick isn't played due to the crowd's behavior, but this is an excellent show...everyone shines. Recommended!
Live at the Forum, Montreal, Canada, June 7, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, Thank You
Comments: A very good, although somewhat low key gig, the second of the 1972 US Tour. Jimmy is really fast and fluid and the band is excellent. Robert's voice seems a little damage but he still manages to hit most of his range and what he lacks in power he makes up for passion. The acoustic set is excellent and Dazed and Confused is one of the best 1972 versions. The long medley is amazing with some incredibly rare stuff being played that had never been done in a medley before or since and the newly surfaced encores rock hard, especially Rock and Roll!
Live at Memorial Coliseum, Charlotte, North Carolina, June 9, 1972

Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Celebration Day, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is And What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, Communication Breakdown
Comments: An excellent, short and complete show in front of a rather acerbic crowd. The acoustic section is excellent and Jimmy's outro solo in Black Dog and all of Heartbreaker are excellent, including one of the best 1972 Dazed and Confused versions ever and a killer Stairway solo! Whole Lotta Love doesn't contain any medley...very rare! Two high powered encores cap this excellent 1972 show, one of my favorites.

Comments: An excellent show with excellent sound! The band is ON and plays truly excellent music. Dazed and Confused is outstanding and the Whole Lotta Love medley is fast, furious, and lots of fun!! Robert's voice is just beautiful, especially in the great, intimate acoustic set, and overall, this concert rates as one of the best from the 1972 US Tour!
Live at Nassau County Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, June 14, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 3 Hours

Comments: A legendary show where Zeppelin really shines and plays some of their best music this tour! Robert's voice is incredibly gutsy and the band is unstoppable as they roll through the set! Dazed and Confused is beyond belief and the Whole Lotta Love medley is exceptional, with many obscure references. The encores are great including a rare, great version of Weekend. This show and the night after are two of the most classic shows ever!
Live at Nassau County Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, June 15, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours

Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love
Comments: Another wild and excellent show the night after! The band is just perfect; everyone came to play! Jones and Bonham play some amazing lines behind Jimmy in one of the best versions of Dazed from the tour! The Whole Lotta Love medley is long and wonderful and Robert's voice is at its most pristine throughout this show. This and the night before at the same venue are legendary show and essential!
Live at Coliseum, Portland, Oregon, June 17, 1972

Set List:
Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll
Comments: An excellent last half of this show. Too bad the rest isn't around. Great playing and amazing singing from Robert. The medley is excellent too, although the sound deteriorates by Rock and Roll. I want the rest!

Sound: Very good to excellent audience
Time: Approx. 50 Minutes
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California
Comments: All that is known to exist from this show. The night after is legendary and from what I can hear here, this one must have been very very good too. Since I've Been Loving You is just outstanding and the band seems to be in good spirits and the playing is as good as ever... I hope the rest comes to see the light of day soon!
Live at Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, Washington, June 19, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 3 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, The Ocean, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, Black Country Woman, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What Is and What Should Never Be, Dancing Days, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, Organ Medley, Thank You, Money, Over the Hills and Far Away, Dancing Days
Comments: One of the most legendary concerts ever! Over 3 hours long and what a show. There are lots of previews for the next album including Dancing Days performed twice! Black Country Woman gets its first live airing here, 3 years before it is released and 5 years before it is played live again. The organ medley contains many songs including Louie Louie! Dazed and Confused is one of the longest and best versions I have ever heard, including Walter's Walk and The Crunge among other references. An amazing show that takes off from the first bars of Immigrant Song. A classic concert...what a show!
Live at Swing Auditorium, San Bernardino, California, June 22, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What is and What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll
Comments: A short, compact and regular set in front of a dull crowd. Even though there are no previews whatsoever here and only one encore, the standard set still excites. Dazed and Confused is pure genius in 25 minutes and the entire show is delivered with guts and emotion to an audience that is way too undeserving...the crowd is quiet and responds dully after songs....a shame as this is a blistering set. The atmosphere on the tape is one of a dull show due to the crowd, but focus on Zeppelin and you will find this show to be short, standard, but breathtakingly exciting and excellently played. Another triumph of 1972!
Live at the Forum, Inglewood, California, June 25, 1972
Sound: Excellent audience
Time: 3 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Since I've been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, What is and What Should Never Be, Dancing Days, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, The Ocean, Louie Louie, Thank You, Communication Breakdown, Bring It On Home, Weekend
Comments: This is quite possibly the best Zeppelin gig ever! The set has a bit of new material for the as-of-yet-unrecorded Houses of the Holy album, as well as killer playing from everyone. Robert's voice is in incredible shape, Jimmy plays brilliantly, especially on Since I've Been Loving You, and this whole show is just great. 25 minutes of Whole Lotta Love bring down the house, followed by 7 encores! If you only get one Zeppelin show, this is it!
Live at Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, California, June 27, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, What Is and What Should Never Be, Dancing Days, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll
Comments: Another great 1972 US show! Robert's voice is just wonderful and the band once again turns in an excellent performance. Robert's vocals are right up there, singing as high as on the album, and sometimes higher! The medley is great and Jimmy's playing throughout, but especially on Immigrant Song/Heartbreaker, and Since I've Been Loving You, is just mind-boggling. Rock and Roll caps the event after the great medley and Robert's voice is right up there! This show is complete except for the absence of Dazed and Confused, which is not available on any source tapes of this show.
Live at Budokan Hall, Tokyo, Japan, October 2, 1972
Sound: Excellent audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours

Rock and Roll, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker, Immigrant Song, Communication Breakdown
Comments: The first Japanese show from 1972 mixes some great playing with some sloppiness. Robert's voice is still high and great but is showing signs of coming down. Dazed and Confused is a strange version...Jimmy seems to be a measure ahead of the rest of the band and it sounds quite exciting! JPJ and Bonham DRIVE this show....not their best show but still one of my faves with a great medley!
Live at Budokan Hall, Tokyo, Japan, October 3, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant Song, The Ocean
Comments: A good show, although the crowd doesn't create a very good atmosphere. Robert's voice is still high and strong but shows definite signs of coming down within the next 3 or 4 months, which it does. The band is excellent as always and offers up excellent versions of Dazed and Confused and a very emotional Since I've Been Loving You, which has Robert tearing his throat with passion. On the whole a very good show.
Live at Koseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka, Japan, October 4, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed and Confused, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker, Immigrant Song
Comments: An excellent, although rather nervous show from Robert. The band is on fire though and really rips through the set. Robert's voice is good although he has increasing trouble sustaining his high range. Dancing Days is explosive and Dazed is excellent. The medley in Whole Lotta Love is a lot of fun and the old 50's covers sound excellent, especially Robert's singing. Excellent sound on this show make it another enjoyable, although not completely frenzied, 1972 Japanese show.
Live at Nagoyashi Kokaido, Nagoya, Japan, October 5, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours

Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Mellotron Solo/Sakura Sakura, Thank You
Comments: Another very good show from this tour. Dazed and Confused is very beautiful including some great wah-wah work at the beginning and a spine chilling bow solo along with earth shattering improvisation from all the band members. The medley is great and Jones mellotron solo is very eerie and features a Japanese folk song. A rare event and an overall very good, short and complete show.
Live at Koseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka, Japan, October 9, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Moby Dick, Whole Lotta Love, Stand By Me, Immigrant Song
Comments: An experimental set during the second Japanese tour, this show is very loud, fast, and exciting. Robert's voice is still in good shape and the band is an amazing instrumental machine that grooves. Dazed and Confused has some song references in the middle and is very long and excellent. The Whole Lotta Love medley has almost no blues, only fast rockabilly songs, and the group really flies! The encores are great, especially Stand By Me, which sounds wonderful with Robert's voice. This is the best gig from the whole 1972 Japanese Tour.
Live at Koseinenkin Kaikan, Kyoto, Japan, October 10, 1972
Sound: Excellent audience
Time: Approx. 110 Minutes
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Over the Hills and Far Away, Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant Song
Comments: The last gig of the 1972 Japan tour and a very short, high speed set. Really great sound and some songs are excellent, like Since I've Been Loving You and Stairway to Heaven. Other songs like Dazed and Confused and the Whole Lotta Love medley seem rushed and lack the usual inclusions. Everything is played perfectly and exactly, although lacking the soul of previous shows on the tour. Robert's voice is great but this would be the last time his voice was as high pitched and wild, as it would never be the same starting in 1973.
Live at City Hall, Newcastle, England, November 30, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Mellotron Solo, Thank You
Comments: An excellent, although low-key, gig and the first of the 1972-1973 English Tour. The band rolls throughout the whole set, with a nice version of Dazed and Confused featuring some funky interludes from the three instrumentalists. The end medley is short and sweet and Heartbreaker flies away! Jones' mellotron solo is haunting and pastoral, perfectly capturing the mood of England in November. A nice opening night to the tour.
Live at Green's Playhouse, Glasgow, Scotland, December 4, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker
Comments: An excellent, powerful show in front of a really ecstatic crowd. The atmosphere is captured perfectly and the band plays very powerfully. Jimmy in particular is having an incredibly ON night. Misty Mountain Hop leading into Since I've Been Loving You is great and dramatic and Dazed is a powerhouse performance. The whole band rises to the occasion...a low profile gig, which is very HOT.
Live at Hard Rock, Manchester, England, December 8, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker, Immigrant Song, Communication Breakdown
Comments: A very energetic and fiery show. The instrumental machine is on a roll and Robert' though careful with the range of his voice, is still extremely powerful and high. Dazed and Confused is a slick and incredible version and Jimmy outplays himself in his solo from Since I've Been Loving You. The medley is very fast and spontaneous and there's a nice selection of encores, played with guts. A very good show from the winter UK tour.
Live at Alexandra Palace, London, England, December 22, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Stairway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused, Whole Lotta Love, Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, Mellotron Solo, Thank You
Comments: This is the second to last gig from the 1972 part of the UK tour, and an excellent gig in front of an unresponsive and dull audience. Jimmy and Jonesy are amazing throughout and Bonzo hammers away. Robert sounds fine, except for his upper range, which is a little rusty. He still has all of the passion and power, as well as a great sense of humor. This is one of my favorites!
Live at Alexandra Palace, London, England, December 23, 1972
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
Rock and Roll, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, Dancing Days, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, The Song Remains the Same, The Rain Song, Stairway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker
Comments: This is the final show of 1972 and the audience is so cool and restrained that it is annoying! The show itself is very good though, and the playing is wonderful and aggressive. Robert seems to be having slight problems in the beginning but settles down and delivers a good show. There are some great solos from Jimmy, especially in Since I've Been Loving You, where he is just playing pure, inspired blues from the soul. A really enjoyable show and one I like as much as the previous night.
