This award is dedicated to those folks who operate a really fun site. When the world seems a dark and forbidding place, a visit to a site deserving of this award lightens the load and puts things into a new perspective.
This by no means disqualifies sites with serious content or substance. All sites should have substance! It merely is reserved for those webcrafters who have a talent for making even the Cat Goddess Bast smile.
The award was inspired by our own Chani Tailchaser. She is a serious, brooding cat who oversees the finest details of daily life in Our House with a severe and critical eye. She is also a wellspring of humor and love. We created her award especially to honor those folks who haven't lost their sense of the ridiculous and the simpler things in life.
Have you created a site that keeps both hands firmly onto substance and its feet squarely planted on a banana peel? If so, email us with:

Include: a paragraph telling us about your site. Describe why you chose to combine humor, cuteness and lightheartedness with a strong purpose and voice. Chani may be listening, so tell her why it should be at the top of her bookmark list!

As with the Temple of Bast Award, this is open to any site on the web that does not contain objectionable adult material OR links to sites containing such material.
Similarly, other things that will make a site NOT eligible include:

1) if it contains little or no positive substance, or addresses no issues,
2) if it is dark or negative in nature,
3) contains foul, suggestive, or insulting language, nudity, or any similar PG-13+ inappropriate material,
4) contains only links or is composed mostly of links,
5) predominately or solely text in nature,
6) contains more than one broken link,
7) has bad or poorly done midis.
8) or, is visibly "Under Construction."


If ANY of the above apply to your site, this award is not for you.

And, as with the Temple of Bast Award of Excellence: if you don't approve of Paganism, Wicca, Witchcraft and Earth-based religions--this is NOT an award for you.
