* 10 cm ( 4 in ) fabric for head.
* 20 cm ( 8 in ) fabric for body. ( this little elf has a body made out of West
Australian designed fabric )
* 1 Honky nut. ( if outside Austalia you’ll be able to order one through my e-mail.)
* Some wool for hair.
* A bit of cord approx. 20 cm ( 8 in ) long.
* Gold metallic paint .
* Paint for face.Cloured pencils, white paint and permanent marking pens in black
brown and red.
* Good quality fibre fill.
* Turning tool.
* Stuffing tool.
* Wooden skewer or satay stick.
* Purple fading pen.
* Fray stop.
* Magnet.
Instructions:
Head.
Place head pattern on doubled fabric with right sides together and trace around
pattern.
Stitch on line and cut out leaving a 2mm (1/4 in ) seam allowance.
Fray stop and turn.
Stuff head firmly and set aside.
Body.
Place body pattern on doubled fabric with right sides together and trace around it.
Stitch on line and cut out leaving 2mm ( 1/4 in ) seam allowance.
Fray stop and turn.
Start stuffing body placing small bits of stuffing in toes first and gradually stuff the
rest of the body nice and firm.
Place a small piece of skewer in top of body leaving a small bit outside of body.
Place the head on the body, pushing the skewer into head and first pin on, and ladder
stitch firmly into place.
Hair.
Cut 5cm (2 in ) lengths of wool and stitch onto head, starting from bottom of head till
top leaving a small bare patch to,
Glue on Honky nut.
Paint the face on as shown in diagram!
Paint veins of leaves on in gold paint.
Place the piece of cord around his neck, knot the ends and unravell the ends.
