he Darkness tried to escape tonight. It thought it could fool me into letting it free, it disguised itself in a rush of crimson, tried to hitch a ride on my very life.

But it underestimates me...

The blood flowed from my nose, seemed to pour from my eyes... I couldn’t contain it... there was no stopping it. I ran.

I could sense the Darkness laughing and dancing, thinking its freedom was just a droplet away. It was ready, it has been ready for ages, since before I was a light in the world, I was but its latest vessel, one that it felt it could escape. I turned inwards, tried to find the strength that the Wolf saw in me, what the Wolf knew I had, what the Darkness did not.

The flow of blood slowed, then stopped, the Darkness screamed and cackled at the same time. “ Not this time it whispered to me, not this time, but freedom draws near.”

Again the Darkness waits, it grows.
