| What the CD-booklet says: Sherbet reigned the Australian popular music for most of the seventies. The young satin-clad princes were far more than musicians. They were mighty popular, scoring 20 consecutive hit singles, twelve albums and every possible Australian music award of the 70s. They were, until then, the biggest domestic record sellers of all time. 'Howzat!' was their only real hit record overseas. What I think of this song: This song can be heard on Dutch radio now and then, as part of a rather cheesy request program called "Arbeidsvitaminen", aimed at housewifes and office workers. Compared to what they play normally this is a great song, but in the real world it's just a bit of outdated slick disco. Incredible how Sherbet could be the main "rock"band down under for so long! |
