Col Joye and the Joy Boys - Oh Yeah Uh Huh

What the CD-booklet says:
Col Joye (real name Colin Frederick Jacobsen) left school at fourteen and worked as a salesman for a jeweller when he started Col Joye and the Joy Boys with his brothers Kevin and Keith. Soon they were in hot demand and played shows together with stars such as Little Richard, Gene Vincent, the Everly brothers and Ricky Nelson. In 1959 they recorded their first singles 'Stagger Lee', 'Bye bye baby' (their first hit) and this 'Oh Yeah Uh Huh', their first number one hit record.
What I think of this song:
The singer sounds somewhat like an Australian version of Gene Vincent or even Elvis. The style is a mixture of early rock, doowop and ballad (I guess). It is a nice, laid-back song, that's for sure.
