Al T. Tude was a comical character published in Target Comics. On at least two occasions he donned a costume, inspired by the superheroes in comic books, and called himself Gooperman (which, I guess, was inspired by Superman). He did not have any special powers, however, until a mad Nazi scientist named Sizan ("Nazis" spelled backwards...) came onto the scene.

Al T. Tude appeared in Target Comics Vol. 3 No. 3 to Vo. 4 No. 8, and Vol. 5 No. 6 & Vol. 6 No. 1. I am unsure of the exact issues in which Al wore the Gooperman costume other than Vo. 4 No. 3.
