The Ghost, another great hero from the fabulous Nedor/Standard/Better line of books, was an powerful magic-based hero whose real name was George Chance.

Raised in India, Chance was the foster son of an immortal yogi teacher. The yogi's teachings endowed Chance with a great number of mystical powers. He could levitate, travel at the speed of light, animate inanimate objects, and, as his name would suggest, transform himself (and others) into invisible astral form.

The Ghost was assisted in his adventures by a woman named Betty.

The Ghost appeared in Thrilling Comics 3-40, 42-44 and 46-52; America's Best Comics no. 9; and The Black Terror no. 7.
