Letters Page

Welcome to the Letters Page, everybody! Hope you enjoyed the latest issue of Pure Excitement Comics! Here are some letters I received following the last issue:
Another FUNTASTIC issue of Pure Excitement Comics! The wonderful brand of storytelling and art in the tales you reprint is all but nonexistent in most of what's produced today--whether in comics, fiction, or film. Thanks for helping to keep the magic alive.
Eagerly awaiting the next issue of PEC,

Robin Lochlann Spriggs

Glad you liked the issue. I plan to keep doing this for a long time (although my Golden Age collection is getting a little used up at this point) and I hope my readers enjoy each month's offerings. Thanks for reading!
Hi Bill, I generally enjoyed issue 17, although the Fantomah story was a little wierd. Red Panther was neat, though. I hadn't seen or heard of him before, even though I have seen Fiction House material. He may be one of my next custom figure conversions. I've already done Kaanga and his mate Ann, Tiger Girl, Camilla and Tabu. Red Panther would make a nice addition to my Fiction House group. The Miss Masque story was nice too - I've seen a couple of her stories before but one more is always good.
   Keep up the good work.

Cheers, Dennis

Glad you liked the issue. I put in the Fantomah story because it was so weird. I like to throw in a little strangeness now and again. I'd love to see a picture of your Red Panther figure if you make one. I still plan to post some of your pictures on my Gallery of Golden Age Heroes site when I start updating that again soon. I thought another Miss Masque story would be good because she was wearing her other costume in that one. I'm not sure which one I like better...
That's it for the letters from the last month. As you can see below, the "Cover Gallery" has returned this issue. See you next month!

Golden Age Cover Gallery

In the gallery this month is the cover of Young Marvelman Comics Vol. 3 No. 185. I would love to reprint a couple of Marvelman Family stories for you all, but somebody still hold the rights to these stories, even if no one is quite sure who. Hope that legal mess gets straightened out soon. If the copyright holders of the old stuff want to e-mail me and give me permission to reprint a story or two, they can contact me at the link in the column to the left...
