Character(s): Pyroman
Publication: America's Best Comics No. 12
Publication Date: Winter 1945
Publisher: Nedor Publishing Co.

Dick Martin became Pyroman after being wrongly sentenced to death and sent to the electric chair. Dick's previous electrical experiments had made him immune to electricty, however, so he was not killed. He was, of course, instead given superpowers.

Pyroman could hurl electrical bolts and, by means of his control over magnetic fields, fly. His secret identity was not known to his girlfriend, Joyce, but it was known to his mentor (and Joyce's father), Professor Clark.

   Pyroman appeared in Startling Comics 18-26 & 28-43 and America's Best Comics 3-8, 10, 12, 13, 17-22, 24, 28 & 29.
