Doc Strange began his comic book career in Thrilling Comics no. 1 as "Doctor Strange," a super-smart crimefighter with no special powers. Doc Strange's powers included super strength and endurance, as well as limited flight (perhaps even just "super-jumping" ability). Doc Strange had no secret identity.

Doc Strange appeared in Thrilling Comics nos. 1-64 and America's Best Comics nos. 1-23, 27
