Description:
Godzilla is the best known movie monster of all time. Making his debut in the excellent film Godzilla, King of the Monsters in 1956, Godzilla took the screen by storm. After being mutated from a Godzillasaurus in an H-Bomb testing on Lagos Island, Godzilla became the mightiest of all monsters. The nuclear energy that mutated him also gave him two powerful attacks: his infamous radioactive beam, and a pulse/blast of radioactivity from the center of his body. The latter is usually only used in dire situations (see Godzilla vs. King Ghidora 1992). Through his career, Godzilla changed from Japan's enemy, to their hero, and back to their enemy. Godzilla has fought numerous different monsters, losing to only a few, all of which he would defeat in a later movie. Godzilla met his demise after defeating Destroyer, the cause being a nuclear meltdown from all the nuclear energy in his body.
