The next Lufia game is already under way. This third game in the series, called Lufia III: Ruins Chasers, or Estpolis III in Japan, is scheduled for release 4th quarter 1999, for the Game Boy Color. They say they are waiting for a more advanced system to release it on, so in the meantime it will come out on Game Boy. The story takes place 300 years after the original game, Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. This game is rumored to end the Lufia series and take it in another direction altogether.
