Motif size: 3½" x 3½" at widest points

(Note: regular bedspread weight[#10] will increase size to about 6½" x 6½" and will be less lacy)

ch 10, turn dc in each ch total 10dc

Row 1) 2dc in dc, ch 2, skip next dc,2dc in next dc, across, turn

Row2) shell in 1st ch-2 sp, 9trc in next ch-2 sp, 1½ shell in next sp[3dc, ch2, 2trc, ch 2, 3 dc], 9trc in next ch-2 sp, shell in next ch-2 sp, turn

Row3) shell in shell, ch 1, [dc, ch 1 between trc's=8dc], ch 1, shell in 1st ch-2 of1½shell, turn

Row 4) shell in shell, ch 1, [dc, ch 1 between dc's=7dc], ch 1, shell in shell, turn

Row 5) shell in shell, ch 2, [dc, ch 1 between dc's=6dc], ch 2, shell in shell, turn

Row 7) shell in shell, ch 2, [dc, ch 1 between dc's=5dc], ch 2, shell in shell, tie off

Note: upper wings are 5 rows whereas bottom wings are 4 rows

Attach butterfly's at wing tips after blocking to shape shown in picture. You will have to determine size needed for table of choice.
