Doggie tug of war

1 skein crochet cotton (type used for dishcloths/potholders)
size G steel crochet hook or
old sheets cut into 1" strips lengthwise ( and rolled up into ball-for ease of use crocheting)
size Q crochet hook.
Directions:
ch 51; turn
Rnd 1
sc in second st from hook; sc in each st across; total 50 sc; turn
Rnd 2-4
ch 1; sc in each sc across; tie off.
make 3 of these stips and braid together. sews ends to secure.
Tie braid in knot in middle(make sure good strong knot).
Doggies love playing tug of war with this toy. For larger dogs make length longer by increaing ch from 50 to 81 making sc's 80.
