  2.      Hiram Cromwell and Thomas Salmon bought 80 acres of land
             on the Crooked Fork or Emory River, 10/22/1831.

  3.     Hiriam appears in the 1840 Census of Meigs Co. Tn.,
            along with William Taylor, the husband of Hiram's sister, Mahala.
