Main artillery: Four 10,5 cm. K.331(f)
Ready for battle: April 1944
Formerly known as HKB 7./977 Flokenaes. Moved to
Blålid in April 1944, to strenghten the defences in Nordfjord. There are only a few bunkers in addition
to the gun emplacements. The guns were mounted on pivots, and were
left in their positions until the summer of 1982, when they were removed for museum purposes. Built by
German personnel. Today the site is heavy overgrown. The emplacements are difficult to see due to this,
but they are all intact. The 'leitstand' and a shelter is located in a hillside above the
main battery, and it is really difficult to get up there. Bring a machete! Also, there is a large
adder population on the site, so use high leather- or rubberboots in the summerseason,
to make sure you don't get bitten. Something that is a bit unusual, is that the
isolation wallplates are still in the bunkers. These were usually removed for different purposes after the war.
Early the nineties, explosive experts arrived on the site to detonate some 10,5 cm. grenades that were
found on the beach. The grenades were probably lost there during the clean up after the war, or lost in some way
while the Germans were still on the site.
