Main artillery: Four 10,5 cm. K.331(f)
Ready for battle: June 1941
A battery intended to guard the ship lane to Måløy, together with
HKB 1./981 Osmundsvaag
on the other side of the strait. The guns and the 'leitstand' were, unlike the other batteries in the county,
positioned in a line, with the 'leitstand' between the third and the fourth gun. A small distance from the main battery,
a hilltop with two Flak positions is situated. A small tunnel is also blasted out here.
The battery was closed down after the war, and the barracks sold off, which was normal procedure
on the batteries that not were to be used later. Some of the barracks are still left on the site, in use for different
purposes. The site is today on farmland, which means that all the emplacements
and bunkers are overgrown. When visiting the site, I had difficulties finding
all the objects. It would have been impossible without a map. Some of the bunkers are inaccessible
due to heavy vegetation, there among stinging nettles, so be careful.
The Flak positions are quite easy to find, just follow the path. But you have to access the path from a private
garden, so be sure to get permission.
