Main artillery: Four 10 cm. K.17/04 n.A.
Ready for battle: May 1941
Built at the same time and had the same artillery as HKB 15./981 Kirkeöen.
Located in the hills above MKB 7./504 Sognefjord.
It was built by German personnel, and most of the positions and bunkers were of standard and
simple construction, something that was planned to be improved. A tunnel with connection to a new 'leitstand' was under construction, but never completed. Two smaller
tunnels were also built and used for various purposes. A distance from the control bunker, the group 'leitstand' for
Artillerie-Gruppe Sognefjord (HKA II./977) was located. The two 'leitstands' were not huge solid constructions, but were of the same
standard as the one at HKB 1./981 Osmundsvaag.
The battery was closed down after the war. Due to problems with my camera, there are not many pictures from this site on these pages. If you want to see the gun emplacements,
refer to HKB 15./981 Kirkeöen, since the emplacements there were the same.
The site today is easy accessible, but some private land has to be crossed. It may be difficult to find all the objects
unless you have a map, because some some of the objects are well hidden.
