Main artillery: Four Belgian 15,5 cm K.432(b)
Ready for battle: November 1942
A rather small battery, intended to guard the ship lane in to Måløy.
Together with the main artillery, a 7,5 cm cannon was used as shoreline defence.
The battery was sent out of the country in August 1944 to be used on other fronts.
Built by German personnel. Today the battery is heavy overgrown. The 'leitstand'
is used as a water supply, hence some of the rooms are inaccessible. It is
difficult to reach some of the positions due to the heavy vegetation. Some of the site is
also on private property, so make sure to get the land owners permission.
The battery was surrounded by a minefield, and all the mines were believed to be found.
Still, a boy was killed by walking on to a mine after the war,
in the area around the field cannon position.
The command bunker. Attacked by heavy under- and overgrowth
