The battery is located on the shores of the island Bremangerlandet, over the strait Frøysjøen from Zug Aspenes. A fairly large site, with one separate tunnel and one tunnel-system. The tunnels weren't quite finished, and they are only concreted half-way up the walls. The entrances were not finished either, and are block only by wooden doors. A large bunker for observation and fire control ('leitstand') was under construction, and is in connection with the tunnel-system via a circular staircase. This part with the staircase is finished. The bunker is half done, the lower room is finished, and what was left was the construction of the roof and position for the range finder. It was to be built very solid. The gun emplacements are well constructed with two bunkers in connection to each position. The close defence system was very well built, with mines, field cannon and Kwk, together with smaller arms. There are also Flak positions on the top of the tunnel-system. The battery is in a reasonably good condition. In later times the tunnels has been used for concerts and different music events due to the good acoustic. But for most of the year, the site is abandoned. Some of the barracks are left on the site, still in their original condition and in use. The site is not attacked by really heavy under- and overgrowth, which is the case with many other batteries. All the positions are still there and intact, except one of the main artillery positions and the field cannon position, that are a bit damaged tue to certain post-war constructions. The Kwk. position is especially interesting, where the shield and traverse mechanism is left, and the position is in perfect condition. After the war, the grenades were to be dumped in the sea. They were loaded on to a barge, but the weather changed to heavy wind, and all the grenades fell of and onto the beach just below the surface. They were left there until the mid seventies, when they were detonated by explosive experts.
