Cattle Mutilations
It is claimed by many that cattle, and other animals, found dead and mutilated in various parts of the country are the work of either space aliens or our own government conducting secret tests. There are many arguments that apparently support this allegation, and I will take a look at a few.
One of the allegations is that organs are removed with surgical precision, and often cauterized as if by great heat. Some organs seem to be favored over others, such as the tongue, eyes, and sexual organs. "Surgical precision" is claimed due to the lack of ragged edges on wounds. These allegations are relatively easily explained. When an animal dies, of whatever causes, predators and scavengers are attracted. These animals tend to eat the softer, most easily accessible parts of the carcass; the eyes, the tongue, the sexual organs. Given another day or two of decomposition, the dead animal typically bloats and bursts, giving easy access to internal organs. Further, this same decomposition process removes the ragged edges of wounds made by scavengers, making the wounds appear as though a sharp instrument of some kind made them. Also, in a relatively warm, dry climate, the flesh darkens and hardens, appearing much like the wound was cauterized.
Another allegation that supposedly supports the extraterrestrial theory is the lack of footprints or tire tracks around the carcass. In a case of natural death of the animal, tire tracks would not be expected. In addition, most scavengers (i.e. coyotes, buzzards, and insects) are relatively small and light. If the ground is dry, none of these will tend to leave footprints or other evidence that they were present. Even if the ground is wet, and would normally hold footprints, many of these animals will still not leave evidence that they were there. Buzzards tend to alight on the carcass itself, leaving no footprints on the surrounding ground. Coyotes, given half a chance, will approach a carcass on grass, avoiding mud.
Yet another allegation supporting the otherworldly nature of these cattle mutilations is the fact that the flesh is left untouched by predators after certain organs have been removed. The organ removal has already been discussed, so I will move onto the "meat" of the animal. Predators (other than the ever-present insects) prefer their food to be well seasoned, or aged. They will leave the muscle and bone of a dead animal for several days before eating it. Since the carcass is usually found and disposed of before proper aging has occurred, investigators usually find a large portion of intact carcass.
This is only a partial list of the many explanations for claims that cattle are mutilated by otherworldly factors. There is more than enough evidence that the only thing happening here is the work of nature itself.
You may wonder if I am a scientist or researcher who has come up with these explanations. The answer is no. I was born and raised on a cattle ranch where, unfortunately, cattle die, all to often, of natural causes. I have seen all of this with my own eyes. Cattle die and are mutilated, not by visitors from outer space, but by Mother Nature herself…
