With glee, the
old man revealed the painting,
Thrilling to the unholy canvas scene;
Creatures turning to Hell, a place serene.
When first unveiled it had caused some fainting.
The art of Pickman most had never known.
However, those who had, would not forget.
Waking from their nightmares in a cold sweat,
Recalling paintings better left unshown.
The old man's
lust for horror was a force,
A force that finally unhinged his mind.
For once he had embarked upon this hellish course
He purchased all the Pickman's he could find.
Sounds 'neath his house drove the old man insane,
Ending at last, with a bullet in the brain.
