The Ninth Planet

Lee Clark

It was Perciful Lowell's surmise
And Tombaugh's dedication to the field
Which forced the shedding of a dark disguise,
And offered astronomy a fine yield.
What lies beneath that methane atmosphere?
Toward frozen skies, windowless towers strain:
Cities stretch across the icy cold sphere
The dwellers of Yuggoth scarcely complain.
