unknown mayfly
Flatrock Lake County Park, Kerrville, Kerr County, 12 September 2003
17 September 2003 (v.4)
Looking for birds, odes, leps and plants in Kerr County. Easternmost area searched was Hasenwinkel Road in far east county; westernmost point was Western Canyon above the South Fork of the Guadalupe River in western county. I believe the creek that runs along Hasenwinkel Road empties into the Pedernales River, even though it begins very close to the Guadalupe River near Comfort. Other locations visited include: Camp Rio Vista, Flatrock County Park, Riverside Nature Center, Hilltop Ingram, Cade Loop, Lion's Park, Center Point Dam, Elm Pass Road, Cypress Creek Road, Potato Canyon, Lynxhaven.
As always i crave corrections and discussion on identifications i have made of any of these critters.
USGS = previously undocumented records according to the USGS website and/or John Abbott's Odonata Central. I am aware that the USGS site is behind and that Dr. Abbott is redesigning his site, but both remain the most accurate publicly available references i know, and thus their usage as a guide to places needing work and rough working documents for what needs confirming.
* = Photographed (sometimes poorly); pictures visible on my website at:

Included below is the usual list of the additional critters seen on the trip.
Many thanks to for identifications and confirmations.
