Report posted to TexOdes 12 November 2003 [with additions/corrections in brackets]

12 November 2003

With a siginifcant front bearing down on us, and the sun actually breaking through for the first time this month it seems, i decided to go document some of the few local damsels left for late dates. Boy, did i get a surprise, not only were there quite a few damsels still around, but i had my best damselfly day ever -- 16 species identified, 2 additional critters that i think may be different [i have concluded that one of these is Aztec Dancer; the other may be a variation on what i'm calling Leonora's Dancer, it's from the same location, photos posted below], but i have no clue what they are. all were photographed. i also had five dragonfly species which is more than i've had in Kerr County in almost a month.

cf. Leonora's Dancer, Argia cf. leonorae
this is the critter i have identified as Leonora's Dancer; if it's not i'm stumped

unknown Dancer sp. I, Argia sp. I
i can't figure this critter out.
although i think it is closest to the bug i am tentatively identifying as Leonora's Dancer
it has quite a bit more black on Segments 6 and 7 than the others.
