critical review of
Sabriel
by Garth Nix
I would most definately have to rate Sabriel as excellent. It had a good, solid plot that opened up new doors in literature for me. The writing quality was good, and the book contained many unforgettable characters. Garth Nix proves both of the latter in a single sentence, a quote from Mogget, a character currently in the form of a cat; "Cleanliness is a wonderful thing". The sentence demonstrate's the personality of a cat--a good writer nows how to portray a character correctly (cats are always licking their paws and cleaning themselves, so it's obvious that a cat in a story would be concerned about that), and at the same time, warms you up to the character of Mogget.
This book is certainly something worth reading. No complaints here.
