will seek one out. Castaways make the best potential suitors, as
they can't spread the word of the mermaid's coming. Mermaid's are
extremely vulnerable on land, so a mermaid will not come on land with a
human until she's sure she can trust him. Many mermaids are afraid
of humans and will seek to lure them to rocky waters and a watery grave,
especially if the men come to close to their homes in their boats.
