While you can always rejoin at anytime we have a very exciting year planned for 2003 and we would hate to see any of you miss out on all the opportunities and resources that guild membership provides.

The Great Escape, an exhibit of contemporary art featuring a variety of media from sculptural light boxes to minibooks to magnetic prints, will have an opening reception for the public on Friday, January 3rd, from 6-10 pm. The exhibit, featuring the escapist tendencies of Thomas Bleigh, Andrea Buckvold, Jason Lee, Jennifer Mahlman, and Chris Wildrick, will be on display at the Contemporary Arts Collective at the Arts Factory, 101 East Charleston, from January 3rd to February 1st.

Clark County's Cultural Program is expanding visual arts programming to include more exhibition opportunities for local fine artists/crafts people. They are seeking applicants for their artists registry. Send current resume, 10 slides of your work labeled with name, media, dimensions, title and date or slide list with the same information, up to three photocopies of reviews / written materials about your work, and email info, fax number or website address if applicable. Jane Marquez is currently showing her work at the Boulder City Art Guild Gallery which is located at the Historic Boulder Dam Hotel, 1305 Arizona, Boulder City. Vicki Visconti-Tilley was selected in December as a finalist in a national emerging artist competition at www.duirwaighgallery.com. This was a juried show in romantic fantasy art and was held in conjunction with a tribute to Arthur Rachham, the famous turn of the century fantasy illustrator. Vicki was selected as being in the "Top Ten 2D Finalists," with the oil painting "Faerie Kiss of the Unicorn." The show was juried by Wendy and Brian Froud, David Delamare, and Kinuko Craft; all outstanding international children's book illustrators.
