A Visit to the former site of the World Trade Center buildngs in downtown Manhattan, New York City, November 23, 2001

On September 11, 2001, I watched, along with millions of others, the horrifying sights of the crashes of the big 767 jets into the two towers of the World Trade Center and the unbelievable collapse of these immense buildings with the thousands of people who were unable to escape from them.

Here is lower Manhattan as I saw it from S.S.France in 1973:
