The Assembly Chamber
In the chamber of the palace the meetings
of the "Volkskammer" (people's chamber) were held up
to / until 1990. It provides space for 786 persons including 250
spectator's / visitor's seats. Besides the function as a conference
site for the parliament it can also be used for conferences due
to its furnishing. Rooms for translators ;-) and the respective
technical equipment are available.
Additionally, there are 6 divisible conference
rooms - outfitted for the work of the parties / groups.
It is also here where the permanent seat
of the president of the "Volkskammer" (people's chamber)
used to be. The parties' offices, a library and a closet for the
members (of parliament / of the "Volkskammer"), rooms
for reporters and other technical services complete this area.
