The Garde du Corps regiment were an heavy cavalry regiment (Kürassier) and were formed on the 22nd June 1740 from personnel of other Kürassier and Dragoon regiments. They were engaged during the Napoleonic Wars at the following battles sometimes only in detachment strength:
