ANASTAS MIKOYAN 



Economist and political, was born in Sanain (Armenia) in 1895.  Studied in the Nestorian Seminar of Tbilisi (Tiflis), center that 
abandoned to the death of their parents. Employed in a shop, must accomplish large efforts to be earned the sustenance, to the time that was 
beginning their political activities.  Soon it was emphasized as the most qualified organizing of the emerging Communist Party in the region of Baku, also began to collaborate with various revolutionary publications.  In 1919 directs the Bolshevik insurrection in Baku and finds the newspapers Sotsialdemokrat and Izvestya Bakinskogo Soveta. With the victory of the October Revolution, accedes to the hierarchies of the party, and enters to form part of the government of the Soviet Union.  Of 1926 to 1930s is Delegate of the People for the Trade, and of 1930s to 1934 Nourishment Delegate, must confront a serious foods scarcity, as consequence 
of some arrears in the plans of collectivization, that his know-how achieved to solve in little time.  Of 1934 to 1938 was proposed to increase considerably the foods production.  In 1935 entered to form part of the Politburo.  After the World War II, it is appointed Foreign Trade minister (1949), portfolio that performs of new during the years 1953 to 1955.  As of 1955 is first vice-president of the Ministers Council and member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.  In 1959 visited the United States, being interviewed with Dulles, Eisenhower, Stevenson and others.  On account of the installation of the socialistic regime in Cuba, Mikoyan it is 
commissioner by his country about Cuban government.
