Instituted on October 31, 1967,
the order was established to commemorate the 50th Anniversary
of the Revolution. It is the second highest order after the Order
of Lenin. This order is MADE OF AN OUNCE OF SOLID SILVER, gold-plating,
and red enamel. About 100,000 were awarded.
