Instituted on August 1, 1924.
Awarded for Bravery and courage displayed in the defence of the
Socialist Homeland. Made of Silver, goldplating and enamel. Subsequent
Awarding of the Red Banner to a recipient were denoted with the
number of Red Banners received located on a small shield at the
bottom of the Order.
