How Real Is Real?
Recent events are disturbing. If it were not an understatement to say so, we would say that the publication of these documents by the Corporation, Galactic Olympian Deities, Inc., will bring about a "paradigm shift" in theological studies. To be perfectly frank, it should bring an end to them. It should shut down churches, synagogues, temples, mosques, monasteries, nunneries, novenas, schools of theology, Sunday schools, trips to the Holy Land, pilgrimages, in short, theology, its Big Brother, metaphysics, and all schools of thought that have evolved and devolved from these pernicious academic fallacies. (To be fair to the Lord's Battalions, men and women of the Cloth2 will be offered vocational training to prepare them for new careers, better jobs, and enlightened vocations and avocations.) It is not to say that God is dead, or that "god" is dead, god forbid, but that metaphysics, theology, is dead; the supernatural world that you are fond of dreaming about? well, we are sorry to say, it has never existed.
To put the "matter" (no pun intended) simply, though this concept may be extremely difficult for you to grasp, there is nothing beyond the natural "world," the physical realm of "things." Everything is physical; everything is natural; everything has weight and dimension. Bulk. There is simply nothing outside of nature. "Spirit" is a pretty word, but it is just a word. There is simply nothing but what is. Stuff. The universe is made of stuff.
