We live a little south of this location, in a lovely valley called Conejo. Thousand Oaks was, at one time quite famous, locally, because of JUNGLELAND (long gone) where movie animals were housed and animal shows were given for the public consumption. Along this area between Santa Barbara and Thousand Oaks (Oxnard, Ventura being the main towns) there are lovely places to drive, from shorelines to mountains to deserts.
