THORIS FROM 30,000 BC Thoris was a Warrior General of Haldolen; he existed long before our current era. The only published record of his life is related in the novel Swordmen of Vistar. This book told of his early adventures with Princess Illa. We now know that these events took place on the Pacific coast of North America, probably near modern Southern California. This was at least 30,000 years ago. What happened to them in the following years, after these published adventures, is unknown. But not long ago I recieved an email message from Thoris. It seems that, in some mysterious fashion, the two lovers were captured by the Magical Power of the Internet. They are now involved in a search for a mysterious Time-Door that might take them back to their beloved Haldolen. If you cross their path, say hello, and offer any help you can. Always be careful, though, that you go to places like these, established, which are safe. Or have a virus program on our pc. In fact, not a bad idea of have one on your pc, regardless. But one can be pretty secure in the belief that major share and free ware sites will have fully checked out the programs they offer.
WHAT IS THE "EPIC DIALOGS OF MHYO" This is a manuscript which was presented by me to fix up for publication. It was based on an ancient document found in a little shop in India. It talks about an ancient warrior name Myho, and though it may be nothing more than a fable, it is apparently based on some very ancient lost text concerning even more ancient material long lost in time. We know nothing about its true origins, but this present material was scientifically dated as having been written in pre-bibical times. It is presented here on the internet in its first draft English version. Epic Dialogs of Mhyo. This is where you will meet GODWALL and DEATHWALL and all the wizards and monsters and Dragons between these two horrible God's of the Land of SpeakingWalls.
SOMETHING ABOUT CHATTING Chatting is a very deliciously inviting activity that many people with PC's and an Internet connection find highly addictive. The only real problem with it is the misinformation surrounding the whole subject in the Media. The horror stories are reported. And all non-chatters believe this is the norm. The reality is that anything one can imagine can go on in chat--as in almost any social activity. The fact is that people pretty much act the same way in one social structure as they will in another. Yet there are some differences in Chat; and these can be startling for the newbee.
What one says and experiences while chatting can be nothing but illusion--based on illusion. Remember that the person you seem to be talking to may be totally different from the reality behind a distant keyboard. What appears to be a man may be a woman; what appears human may be an alien monster spy from outer space. Who knows? For sure? Being aware of this possibility can, realistically, put you in a frame of mind to split reality from fantasy. After a while, usually, truth can, many times, be self evident. But illusion is still a faction. One does not see a face or hear a voice--expect in their imagination. And this fact can work to design some startly open communication; revealing far more than one would to even a fairly good friend. We are not distracted by visual images, or tonal coloring in a voice; nor are our faces exposed to reveal embarressment. Chat is a safe mask. And this mask helps us to feel free to say many things we might not, otherwise, share with another person.
This freedom, also, makes it so very easy to lie. Much easier than simply avoiding telling all the truth. But even when we leave things out about ourselves, we are offering a possible indirect lie; for it is misinformation. Because of all this one is wise to be careful about exchanging real email address, voice messages,pictures or other private information, until they are on very solid ground with their chat partner.
The temptation to arrange a very real life meeting is another danger zone, which I won't go into here; other than to admit that such an experience has the possibilities of turning a chat friend into a real life friend. Remember that the things said here are only as real as the truth behind the words; the words (the song) is not, necessarily, anything like the "singer" (the person behind the words).
