Geography and Topography

Vigan sits along the western coast of Northern Luzon and it lies on the western part of Ilocos Sur. Its about 408 km from Manila.

Vigan terrain is generally flat. A slope of 15 degrees is found in Mira Hills and Silang Hills area .

The Mestizo River, a tributary of Abra River, divides Vigan into two as it passes from north to south, east of poblacion.

Vigan has an average temperature of 26.3*C. January and February are the coldest months of the year.

Syquia Mansion: Houses the memorabilia of former Philippine President Elpidio Quirino.

Ayala Museum: Padre Jose Burgos residence turned into a museum, houses the
memorabilia of the martyr-priest Jose Burgos, paintings , Ilocano cultural artifacts and ethnic arts of the Tinggians are on display.
