The Bogus Man
A 16 mm "political" film wich depicts - against a plain black set - the release of information concerning the abduction and cloning of the President of the United States. A masked figure repeadetly warns us that what we are seeing is classified information. Suddenly - and for no apparent reason - the film cuts to a brightly lit dance routine depicting what appears to be a massively overweight naked woman in front of an American flag. The film cuts between the two sequences, the "classified informtion" (editing an interview with a geneticist, the imprisonment of the President in the Vagina Chair, and the grizzly removal of his fingers), with the footage of the woman dancing sequence allows the audience to recognise that, rather than a woman, it is somebody wearing a body suit. The masked figure repeats the retorical question: "Why did my eyes have to see this, why?" The Bogus Man is a bizarre blend of outrageous nihilistic camp and political "message", the message being "how all these public figures are really just clones of dead ideas wich should be obliterated."
