ANNOUNCEMENTS

SPECIAL  NOTICE

We are pleased to announce that a great tool has been developed and made available to us from Eva Dodge  Mounce.
This program in the form of a COIPS Newsletter  "index" is much appreciated while researching the large volume of information and data found in our newsletters since 1983. Eva has developed  this index for the early newsletters, 1983-1998 and April 2003-July 2004 to make it quicker to locate specific names and articles and assist any general research task.  Though every name is not indexed, much is found without so much haphazard hunting.  What is especially nice is that one can utilize the "FIND" function in the word program to locate the subject and find the relevant and exact newsletter issue.   This is certain to  be helpful to our Club. Every member is encouraged to   download Eva's program or simply copy and paste the index into the word processing program of the member's computer system (i.e. Microsoft WORD). Again, this is a great tool to save time and effort while searching and we are once again indebted graciously  to the late  Eva Dodge Mounce for her everlasting support and contributions to COIPS.  Eva shall always be in our highest regards and considered a pillar to our organization and to the archival research of  Illinois ceramics.

Howdy friends- placeCityPerry, StateMissouri should be on everybody's "got to visit there list". The tiny town is vibrant with many shops stuffed full of all kinds of treasures. placeCityArlington Antiques and Lick Creek Antiques are to be considered in a class by themselves when it comes to REAL antique shops. Both are filled with quality merchandise. Shirley Levings at placeCityArlington has more good stoneware than all the rest of the State. Besides the many many unique shops, there are 3-4 great diners. This little town is on the edge of beautiful placePlaceNameMark PlaceNameTwain PlaceTypeLake and is a great place for retirement. We live 17 minutes South.  Enjoy the summer, keep cool.....!  Thanks, Carl Hirst (crock n roll.....:)~ placecountry-regionMexico, MO.  ph 573 581 2621
