In the very late 80's I discovered the movie 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', and H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. These two fantasy worlds began to inetermingle in my head. Unfortunately, around the same time I had bought a used guitar, and taught myself some chords.
The result was this Dylanesque, 18-verse epic. I'm afraid that even as a real audio file, it takes up nearly 1.8 MB.
Note: The recording technique involved my sticking a microphone in between my knees while I was playing. So who am I, Alan Parsons? I have to warn you though, by the time I converted this 2nd generation cassette recording to a wav.file, then to a ra.file, it ended up with a really annoying distortion in the guitar.
Sorry - at the moment I haven't found any sites which accept sound files, and also accept files of this size, so at the moment 'Roger Rabiit HPL and Me' won't download. All the other songs (below) will download though. (October 2001)
After this, I got a bit of a head of steam up, and wrote some more Cthulhu Mythos songs. The recordings are a little better.
These songs should all download properly now.
