Survey Updates
Updated 8/22/2001
This page will have ongoing updates re the surveys on my page.
Average age respondents started cross dressing 8.1
This is discounting the on response of a very late
starter.
Age range respondents started cross dressing 4 to 48
But other the the late start it is 4 to 17
% of respondents who dress on a regular basis 66%
% of respondents in a relationship 83%
% of respondents who's SO is aware of their cross dressing 75%
% of respondents who go out in public cross dressed 50%
Shopping resources of respondents
Thrift stores 10%
Conventional retail 50%
Internet 30%
% of respondents who shop while cross dressed 33%
With more response to draw on I am now seeing some changes in the data. The biggest changes were a drop in the number who dress regular (from 75% to 66%), some responses from those not in a realtionship (original data was 100%), a large drop in those who go out dressed in public (from 75% to 50%),
and a increase in those who go shopping crossdressed (from 25% to 33%)
1st I was very interested to see the wide range of age when they 1st started cross dressing. To this point most of the people I have talked to started in their preteen years. The number responding to the survey who started in their mid to late teens really took me by suprise.
Of those now reporting to be in a realtionship and thier SO has knowledge about half have at least a somewhat accepting SO/
Though the number of respondends who report going out in public has dropped considerably the number of those who go shopping dressed has increased. I am not sure if it is that those who do go out are getting less nervious.
The comments were very interesting. Most of those who were not out to their SO's said that they would either want to or will have to come out sometime in the future. Several of the respondents expressed they felt either relaxed or just enjoyed feeling feminine. None of the comments expressed any sexual feelings in conjunction with cross dressing.
