A town in the Metn entered the Guinness Book of Records on Saturday for making the world’s largest bowl of tabouleh.
The Qurnet Shahwan municipality said that it had received a certificate from the Guinness World Record company citing the salad, which weighed in at a hefty 1,514 kilograms.
The dish, made with bulgur wheat, tomatoes, onions, parsley and mint, was washed, chopped and mixed by 158 people during a festival in the town last year.
There are no reports of how many people it took to eat the dish, nor how much arak was needed to wash it down.
