Jeannie Bench is a writer, artist, and wife and mother, living in Anchorage, Alaska. She is inspired by her garden, her family, her friends, and the mountains and wildlife of her home state, even though she still finds Texas clay under her fingernails from time to time.
She is a regular columnist for the Archdiocese of Anchorage's Catholic Anchor, and her poetry has been published in: The National Catholic Reporter, Emmanuel, A New Song, Sisters Today, University of Alaska's 1999 issue of Inklings, and The 1999 Poetry Calendar, as well as the online poetry journal, bovine free Wyoming. Other publications featuring her work are: Alaska Parenting, Moosebound Press, and Alaska People Magazine.
