67. "Swear to Age/May be part of Guardianship papers."
John Estes, a citizen of the County of New Madrid in the state of Missouri, being sworn on his oath states that his age is twenty one years that he has resided in the county of said state aforesaid since September 1889, previous of this I have lived principally in the counties of Pope and Gale? in the state of Illinois, I am a son of Sara Estes whose husband, my father was named, Timothy Estes. My mother Sara Estes was a daughter of Charlotte Estes who is since died. My mother Sara Estes died in Gallitin County, Illinois on the tenth day of December about eight years ago and left three children Ed Estes, Douglas Estes and myself all of who were living about three months ago since then I have not heard from my brothers. Written in my hand this 14th day of July 1890
