This indenture made and entered into this seventeenth day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine by and between James A. Sloan (in right of his wife) and Sophia Elizabeth Sloan wife of said James A. Sloam, formerly Sophia Elizabeth Dollins of the one part and Andrew A. Dollins of the other part all of the county of Obion and State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that the said James A. Sloan and Sophia E. Sloan for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars in bond paid by the said Andrew A. Dollins to the said Sophia E. the right of which is hereby acknowledged hath and by virtue of this investment doth give grant bargain sell and lien, endoff, convey and confirm onto the said Andrew A. Dollins his heirs and assigns, forever, all the rights, titles, claims and interest which the said James A. Sloan in right of his wife, and the said Sophia E. Sloan, one of the children and heirs of the late Joel Dollins, decd has or is or may be entitled to in and to one tract piece or parcel of land of which said Joel, decd, seized and possessed, situate and being in the county of Lincoln and state of Tennessee on the waters of Norris Creek of Elle river and bested and bounded as follows: to wit, beginning at a stake and position in David Armstrong South boundary line, moving thence west with his line, seventy four poles to a stake and positions, thence south 10 degrees east one hundred and ten poles to the white oak, thence south 40 degrees east to a stake and pointers, thence west twenty eight poles to an elm and ash. Thence north twenty poles to a red oak, thence east twenty eight poles to the beginning, containing by estimation one hundred and fifteen acres, be the same more or less, and being the land in which said desc. lived immediately before his death and on which his widow, Mrs. Mary D. Dollins now lives in said county of Lincoln and state of Tennessee and willed by said Joel to his children, share and share alike with reservation of lifetime possession occupation on estate to his widow the said Mary D. and the past interest on share hereby the said Andrew A. Dollins his heirs and assigns forever. And the said James A. Sloan in right of his wife, and Sophia Elizabeth Sloan (formerly Sophia E. Dollins, daughter of and heir of said Joel and Mary D. Dollins, for themselves and each of them in their several separate on point rights or relations to the foregoing interest, share, claim or parcel of one sever the part of the above described land and premises, they and each of them as might and their heirs, executors, and assigns will forever warrant and defend against the right, title, claim and interest of all and every person or persons whatsoever setting up claims to the same either in law or equity.

State of Tennesee personnally appeared before me same Obion County E. Henry Clerk of the County Court of said County James A. Sloan one of the bargainors with whom I am personnally acquainted and acknowledge the due exchange? on the foregoing deed to be this act and deed from the day is named date and for the purposes therein contained and also Sophia E. Sloan, wife of the said James A. Sloan, having appeared before me privately and apart from her husband the said James A. Sloane, Acknowledged the execution of the said deed to have been done by her ? voluntarily and understanding without compensation or containment from her said husband and for the purposes they have exchanged.
