The Characters

Kingyo is the spunky main character of "Shin Gakuen Tengoku". At age 16,Kingyo has a very explosive personality that really shows itself when she is angry.She honestly is a normal high school girl, only she has to put up with a group of strange characters Kingyo is 16 years old and lives alone with her father, that was, until she met Itaru. . . in a dumpster *swoon*






Kingyo found the 20 year old Itaru sleeping in a pile of trash. Out of the kindness of her heart, Kingyo took Itaru to her father's Takoyaki stand and fed him. Kingyo's father instantly took a liking to Itaru and dubbed him "Bozo". He gave Itaru a live-in-job at the Takoyaki stand. Itaru has no family or relatives, so he lives with Kingyo and her father.





Rei attends school with Kingyo and Itaru. He is 18 years old and enjoys cross dressing. Early in the manga, Itaru had a bit of a chrush on Rei. Of course, once Itaru learned that Rei was not a lady, he quickly lost interest in Rei as a girlfriend and instead accepted Rei as a friend.

Rei is in love with Kingyo, and would even stop cross dressing if it would make Kingyo love him too. But then, Rei has made it known that he makes a better woman than Kingyo on several occasions, so Kingyo's responses to his affections are mixed.
