Let me tell you about our animals.
We have 6 horses. They are all a big part of our family. We enter them in parades, take trail rides, and joy rides with them. A few of them will let you ride them, but they all pull wagons and buggies.
Pete and Butch, and Bob are a heflingers, or miniature Belgians. They are very sweet tempered and loving horses. They will pull anything that you hook them up to. They are not perfectly matched in color, but they look beautiful together. The difference in their coloring just makes them that much prettier.
Diamond and Cocoa are mother and daughter. I have raised both from the days that they were born. They both think they are the queen of the place. Diamond has been entered in parades since she was 17 months old. She has won 5 trophies since that time. Cocoa has only been in one parade, when she was 3 months old. She will soon be learning what the parade thing is all about.
Charlie is the sweetest horse we have, I think. He will let the grandkids ride him, or he will work with one of the other horses to pull a wagon. He and Diamond work really well together. He is a Tennesee Walker. And a beautiful bay color with black markings.
We have one dog named Squirt. He is 9 years old and a mixed breed. He is a very sweet little dog. He is very protective of his house and his humans. Squirt doesn't think anyone should be in his house but his humans. Not even the grandkids. Squirt passed away on 12/23/03. He is gone to Heaven but forever in out hearts. We now have two dogs. Pudgy is around 7 years old and is Yorkshire Terrier and Malteese. He is a very friendly easy going dog. Our other fur baby is a 4 month old Rat Terrier named Spunky. He is very well named. He loves to play with the grandkids, the cat, and anyone who will play with him.
We also have an 20 month old kitten. His name is Spike. He is very playful and very rambunctious. He thinks playtime is anytime that he feels like it, whether we feel like it or not. He thinks that computer time or crafting time is the perfect time to jump up in Mom's lap.
